Steps to the Induction Ceremony 

Students and families are always concerned about the timing of the steps necessary for induction in to the NJHS. What follows are the approximate dates when the various steps will take place. More specific dates and times will be posted when they become available.

End of the first marking period – Cumulative GPAs will be calculated by the IT department.

January – The faculty committee will convene to discuss potential candidates

February – First meeting with potential candidates. Applications are distributed including a required essay explaining why the candidates think they should be inducted into NJHS.

Beginning of March – The committee meets again to go over the applications.

Mid-March – Candidates are notified by letter and invited to the induction ceremony.

April – Induction Ceremony
